Artist Network at the Usher

Join our monthly Artist Network.

A chance to socialise and take part in artistic activities, bring work to discuss and critique and learn from guest speakers. The session welcomes artists from all walks of life, whether professional or amatuer, emerging or established, from fine art to animation, printmaking to curating. 

 The Artist network takes place on the first Wednesday of the month, from 5pm-7pm in the Clore learning room in the Usher Gallery.  Tea/coffe and good comapny are included. 

This years sessions are as follows:

February 4 - Scoial networking session

March 4 - Artist led workshop with Jess

April 1 - Guest Speaker - Andrew Bracey from GP

May 6 - Social Networking session

June 3 - Group Crit (bring a work for impatial, construtive critique)

July 1 - Artist led session (Artist TBC)

August 5 - Guest Speaker (TBC)

September 2 - Artist Pecha Kucha

October 7 - Group Crit (bring a work for impatial, construtive critique)

 

What to expect:

 

This workshop is taking place in the Clore Learning room at the Usher Gallery. The Clore learning room is accessible by the entrance of the Usher. To find the Clore learning room, enter the Usher gallery by the glass extension entrance and go to the main door on the left. There are ramps and wide doors to accommodate wheelchairs, and a disabled access toilet oppositive the Clore learning room door, behind the reception desk.

 

This session will run from 17:00-19:00. Please ring the doorbell is no-one is at the door.

 

In this event you will be invited to talk to and listen to other artists

 

This may be challenging if you have difficulty with groups of people, a break out space will be available. People will be talking out loud so it may be noisy, to help you with this we have noise cancelling head phones and fidget toys available.
